This week, Thrustmaster launched its new T.Flight Hotas 5 Microsoft Flight Simulator Edition, a control specially dedicated to the flight simulator from the classic franchise. The peripheral is officially licensed and comes with the game’s logo, which makes it interesting that it is an accessory for the PS5 and PS4, coming with PlayStation icons on the buttons.
The control is also compatible with the PC and promises all the features expected in a HOTAS (Hands-On Throttle And Stick) control, resulting in a peripheral with two levers, several buttons and the possibility of being separated in half, for more flexibility in your simulation setup.
Thrustmaster also highlights that its new control features adjustable resistance on the joystick, to adjust the experience according to the player’s preference or flying style in Flight Simulator.
“Created to accompany players as they explore Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, the T.Flight Hotas 5 allows them to adjust the joystick resistance – as well as the throttle and control lever positions – for complete customization according to their preferences and comfort needs”, states the company.

New Thrustmaster controller brings premium features and price
The T.Flight Hotas 5 Microsoft Flight Simulator Edition comes with 14 action buttons, 1 quick-action trigger and a multi-directional switch, as well as 5 axes for 16-bit precision. Thrustmaster also highlights its compatibility with other peripherals in its “ecosystem”, such as TRFP pedals.

It is important to note, however, that this is not a wireless control. It requires the cable on both PS5 and PS4, as well as on PC, where it officially supports Windows 10 and 11.
For these reasons, the control is part of a premium segment of peripherals, reaching a suggested price of US$ 110. This is approximately R$ 559 at the current price.
