Tired of trying on clothes before going out? Google can help you!

Technology

The Google has spent the last few years integrating Artificial Intelligence tools into most of its services, with Photos receiving a wide range of editing options.

Although it also relies on Artificial Intelligence, the latest addition to Photos takes on a slightly different objective. It’s called Wardrobe (Wardrobe, in Portuguese) and, in practice, it allows you to have virtual versions of your clothes and clothing items so that you can combine them directly in the app.

The operation is simple. According to the Digital Trends website based on the photographs you have stored in Google Photos, the app automatically records the clothes and accessories you wear in these images and organizes them into categories – which can be tops, pants, shoes, necklaces, etc.

These categories can be filtered and, in this process, you can combine them directly in Google Photos to create sets without having to spend many minutes trying on each piece.

The only limitation of Google Wardrobe is that only the clothes you wear in photographs already uploaded to Google Photos are recorded. This means that if you no longer have items of clothing that you used a few years ago, you may encounter some problems. Likewise, you will need to ensure that you take photos with new clothes that you purchase in order to ensure the effectiveness of this feature.

It is not yet known exactly when Google will launch this functionality, but the company said it will be available to try out during the second half of this year.

Likewise, it was also confirmed that the first to have the opportunity to try Google Wardrobe will be Android cell phone users, with iPhone owners having to wait a little longer.
