Google confirms 30 security vulnerabilities in the Chrome browser; see which version is safe

More than three billion people around the world use the browser Google Chrome — and they may be at cybersecurity risk.

The Google confirmed 30 new security vulnerabilities in the browser. Of this total, four threats are classified as critical severity.

Therefore, the recommendation is that the application be updated to version 147.0.7727.137/138 on platforms Windows, Mac and Linux as quickly as possible.

Last week, Chrome had already undergone security updates, which had three vulnerabilities, two of which were high risk.

The new alert involves 30 flaws, most of which are highly rated and four reach the critical level in the CVSS (Common Vulnerability Scoring System) scoring system, according to Forbes.

Chrome’s security flaws

Each vulnerability receives a unique code, starting with “CVE” (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures). The four failures listed as critical are:

• CVE-2026-7363: use-after-free in Canvas.
• CVE-2026-7361: Use after free on iOS.
• CVE-2026-7344: Use after free in Accessibility.
• CVE-2026-7343: Use after free in Views.

Use after free is a type of failure that involves problems when storing temporary data.

Although automatic updates already exist, these flaws should be taken seriously. Therefore, we recommend that users confirm whether the update has already been carried out.

To do this, simply:

1. Click on the three dots (⋮) in the upper right corner
2. Then, select “Help” (or “Help”)
3. Finally, click on “About Google Chrome”
4. And that’s it. Just restart your browser.
