Dell Pro Portfolio Expands with AMD Ryzen 2122; AI PRO 400 Series

Emphasis Hardware

Earlier this spring, Dell introduced a ground-up redesign of the Dell Pro portfolio. This thinner, lighter and more capable family of commercial laptops was engineered specifically for professionals. Today we are launching the newest Dell Pro lineup featuring the new AMD Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series processors.

This release marks a major milestone in a collaboration that spans from servers to PCs and a relationship which has shaped enterprise computing for nearly 20 years. Dell and AMD continue to deliver the performance, security and efficiency tailored for the modern AI workforce.

As IT decision-makers and digital workplace leaders balance constant priorities, they need reliable tools. They must boost productivity, reduce risk and improve costs. With artificial intelligence moving from the data center to the device, organizations face new opportunities to increase output.

Dell and AMD have been collaborating since the mid-2000s. Our joint roadmap consistently delivers the performance and capability that businesses need most.

This collaboration matters more than ever today. Cyber threats are on the rise and endpoints are becoming a major attack vector. IT teams are focusing heavily on built-in device security. At the same time, memory shortages and supply chain constraints put pressure on budgets. The need to improve performance and capability has never been greater.

The Dell Pro portfolio together with the AMD Ryzen™ AI PRO 400 Series processors offers a major step forward. IT leaders can use these tools to answer critical priorities and empower their teams.

The AMD Ryzen™ PRO processors are engineered with enterprise-grade features. They offer multi-layered security, remote manageability and exceptional performance. When combined with Dell AI-ready PCs, the result is a solution tailored to the needs of modern IT environments. Three distinct advantages stand out.

On-Device AI Ready for Real Work

With up to 60 TOPS of NPU performance, the Ryzen™ AI PRO 400 Series enables Copilot+ experiences and local AI offloading directly on the device. This provides lower latency in prompting and AI actions and also means less dependency on cloud services and token limits. Most importantly, it keeps sensitive data exactly where it belongs.

Built-In Security from the Silicon Up

Dell and AMD take a zero-trust approach when it comes to security. This framework assumes no user, device or application is inherently trustworthy. It requires continuous verification before granting access. That foundation starts at the silicon level before the system even boots up.

With AMD PRO Dell Pro laptops and workstations include a dedicated security coprocessor integrated directly into the chip. It forms a hardware root of trust to protect sensitive data and validate code before it runs. Furthermore, AMD Memory Guard encrypts system memory in real time. This helps protect against memory-based attacks that target encryption keys and credentials.

We complement these silicon-level protections with a secure design and supply chain. This approach safeguards devices from design to delivery. Features include Secured Component Verification, Dell SafeBIOS, Dell Trusted Device and Dell SafeID with ControlVault 3+ for hardware-rooted credential storage. Quantum-resistant BIOS verification hardens these PCs against current and emerging cryptographic threats. Together these capabilities make Dell and AMD computers the most secure and manageable commercial PCs available.1

Manageability That Simplifies IT at Scale

AMD PRO manageability gives IT teams a robust and modern feature set for managing a fleet. This includes the ability to monitor, update and troubleshoot devices even when they are off the network. It also integrates seamlessly with the platforms IT is already using like Microsoft SCCM and Microsoft Intune.

With the Dell Management Portal, IT administrators can monitor, configure and update their fleet of PCs from the cloud. To keep IT operations even simpler, these systems share a single BIOS executable file across the portfolios.

The true value of a partnership is measured by what it enables customers to do. With the AMD Ryzen™ AI PRO 400 Series now running systems across the Dell Pro portfolio, we can match the right device to the right workload at every level of the organization.
