The number of these applications varies depending on the brand of the device, the operator and the operating system used. In some cases, they can be removed. In others, just disabled or hidden.

1. Check which apps take up the most memory

The first step is to access the device’s storage settings. Both Android and iPhone offer tools that show which apps are installed and how much space each is using.

This analysis allows you to identify rarely used programs that can be removed without harming the device’s functioning.

2. Delete apps you don’t use

After identifying unnecessary applications, you can remove them directly through the device’s settings.

On the iPhone, for example, the user can choose to uninstall the application, preserving personal data for future reinstallation, or delete it completely, also removing all stored information.

Another option is to delete apps directly from the home screen or app library.

3. Disable apps that cannot be deleted

Some native applications cannot be removed from the device. In these cases, the recommendation is to deactivate or archive them.

When deactivated, they stop running in the background, do not receive updates and stop consuming system resources. Archiving removes part of the application’s files, but keeps data and settings for eventual reinstallation.
