For Jason Goh, Senior Director – Design & Innovation based in Singapore, leadership has always been fundamentally people-centered. When development began on the Dell Pro Plus earbuds, the team did not start with technical specifications. Instead, they focused on a fundamental question: how do people actually work today? Jason has often noted that while most earbuds are designed primarily for music, modern work increasingly involves long hours on calls, frequently in noisy and shared environments. Viewed through that lens, clear communication was no longer simply a feature to consider, but a core requirement. Rather than prioritizing traditional audio performance alone, the design centered on voice clarity. AI-based voice isolation was developed to ensure users could be heard clearly despite everyday background noise, directly addressing the realities of modern work. This human-centered approach translated insight into purposeful design decisions.

That way of thinking extends well beyond a single product. Across the broader portfolio, products such as the Alienware Pro Headsets, the Dell 32‑inch QD‑OLED Monitor and the Dell UltraSharp Webcam reflect shared priorities shaped by real‑world context, usability and disciplined execution. Over time, this consistency has become evident across categories. Work developed by Jason and his teams has been recognized with multiple design awards, including the Singapore Good Design Award over multiple years and the ReMarkable Design Award, reflecting a sustained standard of quality and consistency delivered across products, systems and experiences. These recognitions reflect not only strong individual products, but a team operating with shared principles and a clear, consistent standard of design excellence.

A strong culture beyond products

Leadership for Jason extends beyond products and delivery milestones. Within the Dell Experience Design Group, he places strong emphasis on how teams connect, grow and support one another over time. Alongside team-building activities, community participation has become an integral part of that culture, including initiatives such as beach clean-up efforts and participation in programs like Dell InnovateFeast 2025, where students worked with MINDS (Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore) to apply design and technology to real human challenges.

Together, these experiences strengthen trust, reinforce shared responsibility and cultivate a sense of purpose that carries back into how teams collaborate and deliver their work every day.

Much of this culture is anchored in the Dell Technologies Singapore Design Center, which recently marked its 20th anniversary as a regional hub for research, design and development.
