Below, we bring you a summary of everything you need to know about it, our main impressions of use and, at the end, the complete specifications.

Product Overview

THE Dell SE2726HG It is a monitor aimed purely at those who want agility. With a focus on fast gameplay, its big star is the ability to deliver 240 frames per second (240Hz). Currently, it can be found on the Dell website for around R$1,179.00.

Unlike many input options that use VA panels with washed colors, this Dell model bets on technology “Fast IPS”which delivers a much more interesting balance between response time, good viewing angles and color preservation, even when you’re not looking perfectly straight at the screen. Furthermore, it has a matte finishwhich is excellent for environments with windows or strong lights, avoiding reflections that interfere with gaming.

A big difference between this model and other cheap options (such as white label and direct competitors) is supported by the manufacturer: Dell offers 3 year limited warrantywhich brings much more long-term security compared to the traditional 12 months offered by other brands in the segment.

Our Impressions with the Dell SE2726HG

During our tests, we explored the features of the Dell SE2726HG in depth. Here are the key findings:

  • The “Critical Point” of the Resolution: To achieve 240 Hz at a low cost, Dell opted for Full HD resolution (1920×1080) on a 27-inch panel. For reading, using complex software or browsing the web, the low pixel density is notable and the letters are not as clear. However, if your focus is exclusively playFull HD resolution is perfectly “OK”, as it wouldn’t make sense to force higher resolutions if the goal is to keep the frame rate up there.
  • Response Time (Be careful with the Modes!): The monitor has different overdrive. We tested them all in the “UFO Test” and in practice:
5ms Fast Mode. Photo: Adrenaline

Fast Mode (5 ms): Ironic, but it’s not fast. It leaves a lot of ghosting on the screen, making the 240 images per second appear blurred in frantic movements. It basically wastes the potential of the screen.

Super fast 3ms mode. Photo: Adrenaline

Super Fast Mode (3 ms): And the sweet spot. It delivers a much sharper image, with excellent contours and almost no traces, guaranteeing the true fluid experience that a 240 Hz monitor should offer.

1ms Extreme Mode. Photo: Adrenaline

Extreme Mode (0.5 ms / 1 ms): Despite being the fastest on paper, the voltage applied to the pixels is so high that it causes overshoot (inverse ghosting). Instead of dark blurs, it leaves a light/white “ghost” around moving objects, generating unwanted artifacts. We don’t recommend it.

  • Connectivity and Support: The monitor has two HDMI ports and one DisplayPort, all capable of delivering 240 Hz. In Windows, although it may appear as “not compatible”, we activate the G-Sync/VRR perfectly with an RTX card, both in full screen and in windowed mode.
  • Basic Ergonomics: As expected due to the price savings, the support that comes with the monitor is extremely simple. It only allows the adjustment of slope (-5° to 21°). There is no height or rotation adjustment. Luckily, he is compatible with the VESA standard (100×100)so it’s very easy to hang it on a table or wall hinged support.
