Meeting with educators debates the role of humanized technology in schools

Bett Brasil 2026, the largest innovation and technology event for education in Latin America, will be held between May 5th and 8th, at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo (SP), bringing together leaders, experts and educators to discuss concrete paths for transforming education in the country.

The 31st edition of the event will feature more than 450 speakers and 13 simultaneous auditoriums, proposing a reflection on how to integrate technology, human development and public policies into everyday educational life. The expectation is to attract more than 47 thousand visitors, from more than 20 countries, during the four days of the event.

How technology can transform education

The central theme of Bett Brasil this year will be the motto of the opening panel: “Individual, collective and artificial intelligences: all in us, now! When they dialogue, education transforms”, which will have the participation of Claudia Valério, director of Bett Brasil; Juliana Velho, chief of staff at the State Department of Education of São Paulo; Ana Úngari Dal Fabbro, general coordinator of Technology and Innovation in Basic Education at MEC; Priscila Cruz, president and co-founder of Todos pela Educação; Débora Garofalo, considered the most influential teacher in the world by the Teacher Prize and a reference in educational policies; and Marlene Schneider, president of SIEEESP (Union of Educational Establishments in the State of São Paulo), mediated by Juliana Nunes, Digital Journalism manager at EBC (Agência Brasil).

“More than new tools, technology only makes sense when it is at the service of people and not the other way around. At Bett Brasil, this debate translates into real experiences, case studies and dialogues between managers, educators and experts. Our objective is to provoke responsible reflections and present practical ways for these solutions to strengthen the educator and contribute to a more equitable education”, says Claudia Valério, general director of Bett Brasil.

Other big names confirmed in this year’s edition are: Claudia Costin president of Instituto Salto and international reference in public educational policies; Manuel Palacios, president of INEP; Clóvis de Barros, PhD professor at USP; Leo Fraiman, businessman and reference in education; Viviane Mosé, philosopher and writer; João Branco, former CMO of McDonald’s and one of the most admired marketing professionals in Brazil; Sílvio Meira, chief scientist at TDS.company and one of the main thinkers on innovation in the country; Leandro Karnal, historian and writer, recognized for his analyzes of behavior and society, among others.

The program will also feature experts such as: Carla Tieppo, a reference in neuroscience applied to human and organizational development; Vanessa Cavalieri, judge at the Children and Youth Court of RJ; Michelle Schneider, specialist in the future of work; among other names.

Technology and Artificial Intelligence at the center of the debate

One of Bett Brasil’s new features this year is the launch of the IA Summit in Education, which will take place on the 5th and 6th of May, in partnership with AI4School, a AI for education with the aim of deepening the debate on the impacts, challenges and opportunities of Artificial Intelligence in educational institutions.

The space will have an exclusive auditorium for 500 participants and the program will be organized around two central axes.

On the first day, the focus will be “AI and the New Education Scenario”, and on the second day, “Strategies, Practices and Possible Futures”.

Summit IA will feature Marcelo Tas, communicator and educator with extensive experience in the interface between media, technology and education, as panel moderator.

One of the highlights of Summit IA will be the launch of the report “OECD Digital Education Panorama 2026: Exploring effective uses of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education”, in its Portuguese version.

The study analyzes how tools, such as ChatGPT and similar solutions, can be used in a pedagogical, safe and strategic way in educational systems. The presentation will feature remote comments from Lucia Dellagnelo, deputy director of Education and Skills at the OECD, and Rafael Parente, director of Instituto Salto, bringing a reading applied to the Brazilian reality.

The Basic Education Congress will also take place within the Bett Brasil 2026 program. “We know that basic education plays an essential role in the training of individuals and in the development of society as a whole. Through interactive auditoriums, such as Conversation Wheel and Aquarium, as well as practical formats such as Workshops, the Basic Education Congress will promote thought-provoking debates and exchanges of experiences between experts, educators and managers committed to building a more relevant, inclusive and innovative education, from early childhood to high school”, says Adriana Martinelli, content director at Bett Brasil.

Another prominent space at the event is the Managers Forum, with the participation of educational leaders of private sector networks and institutions in debates and lectures that aim to offer new visions, reflections and good management practices.

The program also includes the Ahead CIEE Forum, dedicated to Higher and Professional Education; the Startups Arena, with panels and presentations of innovative solutions, promoting connections between educational entrepreneurs and investors; and the Public Education Auditorium, which brings together cases, projects and initiatives in public education, with the participation of authorities, experts and government representatives.

In addition to the content, Bett Brasil 2026 will also be the stage for important sector recognition. Among them, the Transformative Educator Awardcarried out in partnership with Sebrae and Instituto Significare and the recognition of municipalities with prominent cases in public education which will take place on May 6th.

The event will also host the announcement of the startups that won the EdTech Awards Bett Brasil, aimed at innovative solutions with a real impact on education.
