According to information released by the website The Information, the giant led by Mark Zuckerberg is developing a pendant equipped with artificial intelligence, which can be worn attached to clothing or as a necklace.

According to the website TechCrunch, the project would have emerged from the acquisition of the startup Limitless, completed by Meta at the end of 2025. The company had already created a similar accessory, capable of accompanying the user throughout the day and facilitating interaction with virtual assistants.

Available information indicates that Meta intends to start testing the device in 2026. However, the company has not released details about a possible commercial launch date.

Meta increases bets on paid subscriptions
In addition to investments in hardware and artificial intelligence, Meta has also been expanding its revenue sources. The company recently announced new subscription plans for Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

The services, called Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus, offer extra features such as advanced performance analysis tools and greater content reach. Subscription costs $3.99 per month.

WhatsApp Plus, available for US$2.99 ​​per month, includes customization options, such as exclusive themes, personalized ringtones and premium sticker packs.

According to Meta’s product director, Naomi Gleit, the company’s objective is to unify these subscriptions in the future into a single package called Meta One.

The strategy comes at a time of strong investment in artificial intelligence. The Goal estimates spending between US$125 billion and US$145 billion in 2026, mainly on the construction and expansion of data centers dedicated to the development of technology.

In Europe, the company has been offering paid and ad-free versions of Facebook and Instagram since 2023, in compliance with European Union rules on data protection and digital privacy.
