NVIDIA released this Tuesday (16) the GeForce Game Ready 610.62WHQL driver that prepares RTX line cards for the launch of BOOST. The update arrives before the game’s debut, in the day-one support scheme that the manufacturer adopts for major releases.
The package is certified by the laboratories of Microsoft and runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11, both in 64 bits. The download is via the NVIDIA App or via the company’s official drivers page.
In addition to support for the new title, the driver brings a list of fixes aimed at popular games and display problems on monitors. The focus of the version is on compatibility with technologies such as DLSS, Ray Tracing and latency reduction.
What is EMPULSE?
EMPULSE is a competitive 6-on-6 motion shooter developed by 1047 Gamesthe same studio behind Splitgate. The proposal revolves around fast movement through the vertical streets of a fictional city called Freehold.
Movement is the center of the gameplay and is a bit reminiscent of Mirror’s Edge: the player runs along walls, uses a climbing hook, jumps with platforms called Holojump and alters surfaces with paint bombs called PAINT to open routes and gain a tactical advantage.
The map also has controllable mechs, which appear at specific points and carry heavy weapons, their own abilities and a high life bar. Taking control of one of them changes the course of the confrontation between the teams.

The game’s Steam page still marks the date as “coming soon”, but NVIDIA and specialized vehicles point to the debut for June 24thwhich explains the driver’s anticipation. EMPULSE will feature multiplayer with cross-platform play, Steam achievements, and a kernel-level anti-cheat system.
The store lists in-game purchases and requires a constant internet connection, without informing the price so far. The interface is translated into Brazilian Portuguese.

Requirements to run EMPULSE
1047 Games has defined an affordable entry configuration, with older generation cards meeting the minimum. It is worth noting that the requirements only list DirectX 11 and do not mention RTX GPUs, even though the game appears in the wave of titles with DLSS support by NVIDIA.

The modest difference between the two columns indicates a game designed to run on simpler machines, a common choice in competitive titles that depend on a broad base of players. The point weighs more on the stable connection than on the raw power of the machine.

How to download and what changes in the R610 branch
THE 610.62 continues branch R610, opened at the end of May with version 610.47. It was in that update that NVIDIA ended the classic Control Panel for GeForce users, a feature that had served for about two decades.
All functions have migrated to the NVIDIA App, which now concentrates image adjustments, game profiles and AI optimizations. A clean install removes the old panel, while upgrading over the top keeps the program until manual removal.
Those using NVIDIA GPUs can install the driver through the dedicated application, which applies the version automatically. On the official page, you can still check model-by-model compatibility before downloading, a useful step for those who keep older generation cards in use.
