Stellar Blade joined the list of games that had their Denuvo cracked without the need to bypass DRM using HyperVisor. The prolific cracker voices38 adds the game distributed by PlayStation to its collection of victories over Denuvo’s controversial anti-piracy system.
Piracy enthusiasts already had access to Stellar Blade using HyperVisor to bypass Denuvo. However, this method is not as popular because it involves disabling important Windows security features. The latest crack is made directly to the game software, not requiring this type of configuration on the system.
It is important to note that the voices38 cracker method also bypasses Denuvo, and does not completely delete the DRM. Therefore, players who believe that DRM is negatively impacting performance in Stellar Blade on PC should not notice a difference in the cracked version of the game.
Responding to some of the comments for his latest feat, the cracker points out that the version of the game with Denuvo defeated is the complete edition, including DLC, and a PSN SDK is not required to play.

It is to be speculated that the company intends to take more drastic measures to ensure its service is still attractive to game producers. At the end of last month, rumors were circulating that 2K was requiring online validation every 14 days for its Denuvo games.
Having to validate the game online is one of the things that players least like to do for offline single player titles. But if the company doesn’t update its DRM more effectively, recent cracks like this one for Stellar Blade could make Denuvo increasingly restrictive.
