X users who use the free version of the platform will face new limitations in their daily use of the social network.
According to information published on the official X support page, the restrictions were created to “relieve pressure” on the platform’s systems, reduce periods of instability and also make it difficult for bots and automated accounts to operate.
With the new rules, free users will only be able to make 50 posts per day. Each post will also be limited to up to 200 responses per day. Before the change, the daily publication limit was 2,400 posts.
The restrictions also affect private messages. Anyone who does not subscribe to one of X’s paid plans will be able to exchange a maximum of 500 direct messages per day.
The platform states that the measures aim to improve the functioning of the social network and reduce automated abuse.
For those who consider the new limits insufficient, the alternative will be to subscribe to one of X’s paid subscriptions.
In Brazil, the current subscription prices for the web version are:
• Basic Plan
R$15.75 per month or R$167.62 per year
• Premium Plan
R$42 per month or R$440 per year
• Premium+ Plan
R$115 per month or R$1,190 per year
Prices may vary for subscriptions made directly through Android and iPhone applications, due to fees charged by digital stores.
The Premium+ plan is the most complete on the platform and offers features such as reducing or removing ads, greater visibility in publications and expanded access to Grok, an artificial intelligence tool integrated with X.
