During the Beijing Auto ShowChinese manufacturer GAC revealed that the Aion UT will be your next strategic step on Brazilian soil, the information is from g1. The 100% electric hatchback is expected to be officially announced in the coming weeks, with the clear objective of directly rivaling the BYD Dolphin, current vice-leader in sales of the category in the country.

This difference directly reflects on occupant comfort and load capacity. While the Dolphin GS offers 250 liters of luggage space, the Aion UT delivers 440 litersan important brand for the hatchback category, allowing for much more versatile use for travel and shopping.

Performance and technology

Although GAC has not yet released exact specifications that will arrive in Brazil, the brand confirmed that the model will undergo adaptations for the national market. In the Chinese market, the Aion UT portfolio is impressive in terms of numbers:

  • Motorization: 136 hp and 204 hp options. Even the entry-level version surpasses the 95 hp of its main competitor.
  • Batteries: 44.1 kWh or 60 kWh sets.
  • V2L Technology: The car works as a “giant battery”, allowing it to power external devices such as TVs, fans or video game consoles.

Inside, the model follows the pattern of new Chinese cars. The highlight is the 14.6-inch multimedia center and the 8-inch digital panel, accompanied by a finish with soft-touch materials. The model also includes adaptive cruise control and emergency braking.
