The WhatsApp users are already used to seeing most new features reach the iOS and Android versions first. However, the company is now preparing a relevant update for WhatsApp Web.
According to information from the WABetaInfo website, the platform should launch around 49 different themes for the web version, significantly expanding the customization options available to users.
Currently, while the mobile application already offers several customization possibilities, WhatsApp Web remains quite limited, with only the default theme and dark mode, available for a few years.
The new update promises to change this scenario. According to an image released by the publication, users will not only be able to change the background of conversations, but also choose different colors for the messages exchanged, making the experience more personalized.
Another recent WhatsApp feature, already in the gradual implementation phase, is the adoption of usernames. The feature aims to reinforce privacy, allowing people to interact without having to share their phone number with strangers.
There is still no official date for the launch of these new features. As usual, features must first be tested by beta users before reaching the general public in the final version of the service.
