The AgroBrasília 2026 reaches its 16th edition as one of the main agribusiness events in the country. This year, the fair has the theme “Agro de Resultado” and will be held between the 19th and 23rd of May, at the Ivaldo Cenci Technological Park, on BR-251, PAD-DF. The event brings together rural producers, companies, research institutions and startups in a program focused on innovation, business generation and dissemination of knowledge in the field.
Promoted annually by Coopa-DF, the fair will have around 600 exhibitors and should present solutions linked to precision agriculture, artificial intelligence, carbon credit, sustainability, irrigation and rural management. The organization’s expectation is to maintain AgroBrasília as a technological showcase for producers seeking to increase productivity and reduce costs in a scenario of economic challenges and pressure on the sector’s margins.
According to the president of Coopa-DF, José Guilherme Brenner, AgroBrasília goes beyond a business fair and has become a strategic space for connection between producers, technology, research and the market. “AgroBrasília is a very big event, the main one in the segment here in the Central Plateau. All areas of agriculture are represented here”, he stated.
Brenner also highlighted the presence of technological circuits from Emater-DF, launches from Embrapa and the strengthening of AiTec, a space focused on technological innovation and agricultural startups. “We want to encourage local technologies, adapted to the reality of rural producers in our region. Producers will find here practically everything they need to improve their productivity and their daily lives”, he said.
According to the president of Coopa-DF, the theme of this edition arose from the producer’s need to seek more efficiency in the face of increasing production costs and market difficulties. “The producer lives in a scenario of compressed margins, high costs and financial challenges. The most correct way to overcome this is through the adoption of technology, which allows increasing productivity and producing more in the same area”, he explained.

This year’s edition also expands the space of the AgroBrasília Innovation and Technology Environment (AiTec), which increases from 1,200 to 1,500 square meters. The venue will feature lectures, conversation circles, technical presentations and the participation of approximately 40 startups and 10 technology-based companies.
Emater-DF also participates in the fair with nine technological circuits focused on innovation, productivity and sustainability in the field. Topics include horticulture, floriculture, poultry farming, aquaculture, cattle farming, fruit farming, agroindustry and environmental management.
The Secretary of Agriculture of the Federal District, Rafael Bueno, highlighted that, despite the small territory, the DF has high levels of agricultural productivity. “We have high productivity in practically all agricultural chains installed here. Our main product is soybeans, which once again saw an increase in production, reaching more than 380 thousand tons”, he stated.
The secretary also drew attention to the challenges faced by the sector, such as the drop in commodity prices, exchange rate impacts and increased production costs.
Bueno highlighted that the Government of the Federal District has adopted measures to reduce impacts on producers, such as reducing the ICMS on diesel and expanding rural credit lines with subsidized interest.
For the secretary, AgroBrasília plays a fundamental role in bringing producers closer to technologies that help reduce costs and increase production efficiency. “The reduction in production costs needs to be accompanied by technological improvements. Therefore, AgroBrasília is the ideal environment for producers to find solutions to increase productivity and improve their profitability”, he stated.
