A post shared on the Chinese social network Weibo suggests that Apple’s first foldable cell phone – known for now as the iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra – will be equipped with a liquid metal hinge.
This type of material will be able to absorb a much higher level of stress than that normally absorbed by conventional materials, returning to its original shape without any damage. It will then be able to withstand not only the passage of time but also use.
