Brazil presents itself as a powerhouse of the green economy at Hannover Messe

The opening of the Brazil Pavilion at Hannover Messe 2026, this Monday (20), put the country in the spotlight as a relevant actor in the green economy and energy transition. Led by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the Brazilian delegation was attended by the president of Sebrae, Rodrigo Soares, who highlighted the ability of small Brazilian businesses to compete in international markets and expand Brazil’s presence abroad.

During the ceremony, President Lula highlighted the performance of strategic sectors of the Brazilian economy, such as oil, biofuels and the aeronautical industryby defending the country’s position as a nation with the capacity to compete on a global scale. “Brazil is a country that wants to transform itself into a rich economy. We are tired of being treated like a poor and small country”, said the president, alongside Brazilian and German authorities.

The president of Sebrae commented on the new international business scenario for startups and small companies. “At COP30, we proved the leading role of Brazilian small businesses in the green economy and clean energy solutions”, he states.

“We are continuing this agenda at Hannover Messe, as an opportunity for our entrepreneurs to showcase their products to a consumer market of more than 700 million people. This is Sebrae boosting business, generating income and reaching more far away”

With support from Sebrae, Brazil participates in the fair with 190 micro and small companies and startups, which present innovative solutions in the areas of industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, sustainability, clean energy and digital transformation. Among them is the Rio de Janeiro company Resen Engenharia, specialized in mechanical, electrical engineering, automation and industrial solutions. “We propose to facilitate installation and automation services for companies based in Brazil,” said Yago Ramos, owner of the company.

In partnership with ApexBrasil, Sebrae already works to qualify micro and small companies for export, through training, market access and internationalization programs, especially the Export Qualification Program (PEIEX).

About the event

Hannover Messe, held since 1947, brings together global trends in digitalization, sustainability, energy and innovation. Apex Brasil, linked to the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC), organizes the country’s participation. In an area with more than 10 pavilions, exhibitors and representatives of companies from different countries will be able to exchange information, learn about and present technologies, in addition to closing deals.

Held in Hannover, Germany, the event continues until Friday (24), expected to bring together more than 130 thousand visitors, 4 thousand exhibitors and representatives from 60 countriesconsolidating itself as a strategic showcase for connections and generating global business.
