Brazilian couple bets all their chips on technology in Portugal

Brazilians Amanda Prado and Wessley Silva left São Paulo for Porto, where they immersed themselves in the world of technology as entrepreneurs. It all started in 2021, when the couple bought a property, reinforcing the process of taking root in the country. “It was a fundamental step in this new trajectory”, says Amanda.

Like any business, there are always setbacks along the way. But Amanda and Wesley have nothing to complain about. All the effort undertaken resulted in the group of companies that they lead today, WA Tecnologia & Serviços, whose headquarters are located in Porto and the team is made up of six employees, three of whom are Brazilian and three Portuguese.

All of the couple’s efforts are focused on creating facilities for companies, independent workers and consumers. And the first step in this direction was the creation of faleaqui.pt, which uses around 70% automation per artificial intelligence connecting customer requests and professionals capable of performing services in the domestic area.

The company’s operations, according to Amanda, are focused on innovative and scalable digital solutions. So much so that, now, the couple is taking steps in the health sector, with the launch of the Linkeify digital platform, focused on dental clinics.

Purpose of undertaking

Born in São Paulo, Amada and Wessley arrived in Portugal in 2019, bringing with them professional experience and the goal of becoming an entrepreneur. In Brazil, Wessley already worked as a computer engineer and SAP systems architect, the German acronym for Systems Analysis, Program Development, responsible for centralizing data, integrating processes and automating tasks. Amanda, in turn, was a dentist. Her career transition, according to her, occurred gradually and strategically.

For a period of time, she combined her work routine in a clinic, in the morning shift, with the development of digital projects during the rest of the day. “Dentistry and technology are two totally different worlds, but today, I can’t imagine working, if not in the technological environment”, he says. Currently, Amanda holds the position of CEO and leads the expansion of solutions developed by the group.

The Linkeify digital platform was launched six weeks ago and is aimed at optimizing and simplifying processes in dental clinics. The development of the solution took around a year and a half, involving strategic planning, technological creation and validation with real users.

To make the idea viable, around 147 thousand euros were invested in technology, structure, testing and continuous optimization, says Amanda. The platform, says the Brazilian, works as an integrated ecosystem that centralizes different areas of clinical and operational management, including payments, financial control, inventory, relationships with suppliers and communication with patients. Since its launch, the platform has 10 clinics in active operation and another six in the implementation phase.

Money control

Conceived as a comprehensive system, the new tool brings together, in a single environment, functionalities such as administrative management, integration with laboratories, purchasing and supplier control. “Currently, the platform is specialized in dental clinics, ensuring maximum efficiency and adaptation to the needs of the sector. However, there is already a structured expansion plan to other areas of health, maintaining the same level of integration and performance”, informs Amanda, who adds: “It is an operating system that goes far beyond a software traditional”.

The practical application of technology is already showing results in the daily lives of clinics. One of the users is Leonardo Costa Saraiva de Oliveira, technical manager at the Instituto AreLuna Medicina Dentária Avançada, in Porto. Born in Curitiba, Paraná, he has lived in Portugal since 2015 and leads a clinic focused on technology. According to Leonardo, with the adoption of the platform, there was a simplification of financial processes, greater organization and a reduction in operational failures.

“Treatment planning has also improved, as today we are able to better structure plans and monitor the patient at all stages. We also made gains in patient experience. The platform stood out especially for its ease of use, integration with the clinic’s day-to-day operations and modern payment solutions, with improved business results”, adds Leonardo.

In the clinic’s financial area, the impacts are also noticeable, according to manager Caroline Gomez, who worked for almost a decade as a banker in Brazil. “Since implementing the platform, we have seen clear improvements in the control of the clinic’s financial input. Today we are able to monitor, in a more organized way, our accounts receivable area, which reduces errors and makes day-to-day management much easier”, she points out.
