Electronic Arts and Codemasters officially announced EA Sports F1 25: 2026 Season Packexpansion that updates the game with all the big changes of the new era of Formula 1.

The content will be released on June 3, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, bringing new teams, drivers, revised rules, new mechanics and the long-awaited Madrid circuit, the Madring.

It is worth remembering that EA chose not to launch a new version of the game in 2026. Therefore, the update will do this role, but it is necessary to have the base game from 2025.

Package introduces new generation of Formula 1

The expansion adapts the official changes to the regulations for the 2026 Formula 1 season.

According to EA, the cars will become smaller and lighter, with a focus on more dynamic handling and responsive active aerodynamics. The changes directly impact gameplay, both for those using traditional controls and steering wheels.

Another new feature is the new “Overtake Mode” system, which adds extra strategic options during battles for position. Codemasters has also confirmed new assists to make racing more accessible and competitive for different skill levels.

MADRING circuit debuts in the game before the real race

The 2026 Season Package marks the arrival of the Madring circuit, a new urban layout in Spain.

The hybrid track mixes street sections with permanent sectors and will be the first new Formula 1 circuit since 2023.

Players will be able to race virtually in Madrid even before the official Spanish Grand Prix takes place in September 2026.

Audi and Cadillac officially join the grid

One of the biggest news of the expansion is the debut of two new teams on the grid: Audi and Cadillac. With this, the championship now has eleven official teams.

Cadillac arrives at the game bringing a proposal more linked to North American motorsport, while Audi officially debuts as a full team in Formula 1.

The update also updates the complete grid of drivers for the 2026 season. They are: Gabriel Bortoleto, at Audi; Nico Hülkenberg, at Audi; Valtteri Bottas, at Cadillac; and Sergio Perez at Cadillac.

The expansion also brings the return of category icons and complete changes to team formations.

My Team Mode returns with expanded grid

The traditional “My Team” mode will be back. Now, players will be able to create the championship’s 12th team, customizing visual identity, squad and structure within the expanded 2026 grid.

According to Codemasters, the proposal is to reinforce the feeling of participating in the new generation of Formula 1.

Lewis Hamilton highlights new era of the category

Lewis Hamilton also participated in the announcement of the expansion and commented on the changes for the 2026 season.

According to the driver, the new regulations significantly transformed Formula 1, and the game managed to reproduce these changes faithfully, including cars, power units and the Madrid circuit.

The 2026 Season Pack will launch on June 3 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
