Bandai Namco and FromSoftware announced the opening of digital pre-orders for Elden Ring Tarnished Edition for Nintendo Switch 2.
The new edition of the award-winning action RPG arrives on the Nintendo console in August 28, 2026 and includes both the base game and the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, as well as new content that was not present in the original version.
The launch marks the debut of Elden Ring on Nintendo consoles and brings one of the most successful franchises of recent years to the Intermediate Lands.
Edition includes Shadow of the Erdtree
The main attraction of Tarnished Edition is the inclusion of expansion Shadow of the Erdtree.
Considered a direct continuation of the main adventure, the expansion takes players to the mysterious Kingdom of Shadows, featuring new explorable areas, new bosses, exclusive equipment, secrets linked to the main story and high-level challenges.
The expansion was widely praised by critics and significantly expanded the universe created by FromSoftware.
New classes arrive in the game
In addition to the already known content, the Tarnished Edition adds new features. Among them are two new starting classes that can be chosen when creating the character.
Although Bandai Namco has not yet revealed details about their abilities and attributes, they are expected to offer new ways to explore the Intermediate Lands.
The edition also introduces new equipment. Players will have access to new armor sets that expand their characters’ visual and strategic customization options.
Torrent can be customized
Another new feature is the inclusion of customization options for Torrentknown in Brazil as Torrente. For the first time, players will be able to change visual aspects of the spectral mount used while exploring the open world.
The functionality was one of the community’s frequent requests since the launch of the original game.
Extra content will also reach other platforms
Who already has Elden Ring on other platforms you won’t be left out of the news. Bandai Namco has confirmed that additional content for Tarnished Edition it can also be purchased separately for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
This way, players of existing versions will be able to access new classes, armor and customization options without having to buy a completely new edition.
