As artificial intelligence continues to reshape industries, a critical question is emerging for organizations everywhere — how do you build the talent and capabilities needed to turn AI ambition into real business outcomes? At the AI Innovation Hub, the focus is on advancing AI transformation, enablement and leadership across the ecosystem. As an AI Innovation Senior Strategist and Evangelist, Carine sits at the intersection of industry, academia and community — connecting the dots between Institutes of Higher Learning, technology partners, customers and the broader ecosystem. Her role centers on orchestrating the right conversations, forging the right partnerships and keeping initiatives moving so that each engagement delivers meaningful outcomes. This coordinated effort aligns the ecosystem around a shared goal of building AI-ready talent and driving innovation, creating a strong foundation for businesses to continue growing and evolving.

Beyond strategy, its impact can be seen in tangible outcomes. These efforts create real opportunities — within Carine’s team alone, six talents have been identified and brought in, while many others have gone on to contribute across Dell and its partner organizations. It is especially rewarding to see participants grow into professionals and, in some cases, valued colleagues, highlighting the strength and continuity of the ecosystem.

Embedding AI skills through real-world learning

This work supports one of the Hub’s core priorities and aligns closely with Singapore’s National AI Strategy 2.0. By working with educators, AI and other emerging skills are embedded into academic curricula through guest lectures, hands-on workshops, curriculum co-development, competitions and hackathons. Learning is closely tied to real-world application, with students engaging directly in use cases shaped by industry input, while she remains closely involved and continues to learn alongside students and educators. Programs such as the SCDF and Dell Lifesavers’ Innovation Challenge, Dell InnovateDash and Dell InnovateFest bring together partners and customers as active contributors who mentor, share expertise and help shape solutions to real-world challenges, including those faced by vulnerable communities. For businesses, this results in stronger access to talent that is better prepared to contribute, along with earlier exposure to emerging ideas that reflect real needs.

Sustaining impact across programs and partnerships

Delivering these outcomes requires consistent and deliberate coordination in connecting the dots across multiple stakeholders. Carine’s work spans convening workshops, collaborating with lecturers, organizing large-scale initiatives and staying closely involved with students, faculty and partners throughout each program. By maintaining alignment, each effort builds on the last rather than standing alone. Relationships continue beyond individual programs, and skills carry forward into future roles. This continuity strengthens the ecosystem and supports sustained AI adoption and innovation across industries.

Shaped by experience, driven by curiosity and collaboration

Carine’s approach is shaped by a career built on understanding how technology creates value. She began in venture capital, evaluating technology companies and their potential, and later moved into sales roles at startups, working directly with customers to bring solutions into real-world environments. The opportunity to join Dell brought together scale, innovation and a strong commitment to meaningful impact, building on a journey she had already been pursuing.

Outside of work, she stays active through running, yoga, pilates and padel, using these activities as a way to recharge and reset. This passion has also extended into team bonding, where shared physical pursuits like adventure walks and racket sports have helped to build trust and camaraderie. Over time, staying active has shaped how she shows up at work — strengthening her curiosity to explore new ideas and push beyond familiar approaches, while also building resilience and patience to navigate setbacks, recalibrate and keep things moving across complex stakeholder environments. It has also reinforced a strong sense of discipline, helping her stay consistent, prepared and focused on follow-through even as demands grow.

At the center of her mindset is a belief that continues to guide her work:
