Meta announced at the end of May that it plans to launch paid subscriptions for Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, saying that users of these premium versions will have access to exclusive features.
Now, the company has revealed, in a post on its official blog, that it is starting the global launch of Instagram Plus. It is worth noting that, although availability began this Friday, the 5th, the new feature will be released gradually and may arrive at different times for users in each country.
But what is included in Instagram Plus for US$3.99 (about R$22, depending on the quote) per month?
Much of the resources are aimed at increasing the reach of publications. For example, you can prioritize a Story, making it appear more prominently to your friends.
Subscribers will also be able to create multiple Stories lists, allowing them to better segment content shared with different groups of people. Furthermore, it will be possible to keep Stories available for up to 48 hours, instead of the current 24 hours.
When it comes to Stories performance, Instagram Plus users will have access to more detailed metrics. Among them, the possibility of knowing how many times a person viewed a specific Story and even searching whether a particular user saw a particular post.
The subscription also offers several options for customizing the experience on the platform. Subscribers will be able to choose between different icons for the application, use new fonts in their profile biography and pin up to six posts to the top of the page, expanding the options for highlighting content.
Meta highlights that this is just the beginning of Instagram Plus and states that it intends to add new exclusive features to the subscription in the coming months.
“You can now try all these features by subscribing to Instagram Plus”, informs the company in the publication. “And stay tuned, because we’ll continue to add new features to Instagram Plus over the coming months.”
