The launch of registrations for the IFSC Supernova Challenge of Innovative Ideas 2026 marked another chapter in the partnership between Sebrae and the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC). Held this Wednesday (24), in a live broadcast on YouTube, the event brought together students, teachers and managers to present the latest news from the edition, which will now use the methodology and platform of the Sebrae Supernova Program.

During the opening, the president of Sebrae, Rodrigo Soares, highlighted the role of young people in building innovative responses to the country’s challenges and invited the academic community to participate in the journey. “Supernova brings entrepreneurial education solutions. Sebrae works to ensure that entrepreneurship is a factor of inclusion, income and citizenship. We want to invite all of you, IFSC students and teachers, who are advisors to these teams, so that you can participate across the country”, he stated.

For the dean of IFSC, Zizimo Moreira, the partnership with Sebrae has contributed to preparing students for the world of work and creating innovative solutions. “The incorporation of Sebrae Supernova further strengthens entrepreneurial education and the generation of new businesses aimed at the development of the state and the country. Registration is officially open!”, he celebrated.

Among the new features announced through the partnership is international awards for the winning teams. According to IFSC’s Dean of Research, Postgraduate Studies and Innovation, Tiago Nuncabom, the initiative expands students’ training opportunities and strengthens the institutions’ commitment to innovation. “The two winning proposals will receive support to participate in an international experience, expanding contact with entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems in other countries”, he explains.

Another highlight is the renewal of technical cooperation between Sebrae and IFSC, which already foresees three new editions of the challenge, in 2026, 2027 and 2028. For Nuncabom, the agreement represents security for planning actions and the continuity of an initiative that has been generating concrete results within the institution.
