UA protest against Elon Musk and Grok, SpaceX’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) assistant (owned by the businessman), took over Times Square on Thursday (11), one of the central points of New York, in the United States.
The images, which you can see above, show an inflatable balloon representing Musk. On the back, it is ‘tattooed’: “Space X’s Grok Produces AI-Generated Child Pornography”.
It is worth noting that Grok has been at the center of controversy due to the creation of deepfakes and sexualized images – especially of women and minors.
Last year, the controversy even led to legal investigations by the European Union and the United Kingdom. Last year, the Internet Watch Foundation – an organization that works to stop images of sexual abuse being shared on the internet – warned that AI platforms were being used to produce content that showed artificially generated sexual abuse.
Grok was one of the assistants mentioned in the report, regarding the risks of these technologies. xAI, which developed Grok and was acquired by SpaceX (from Musk), responded that the platform had security tools to prevent illegal content from being created. The company also denied that the chatbot was designed to create this type of content.

In addition to the references to content generated by AI, there is also a reference to Trump’s use of illicit drugs, such as ketamine, a substance that the businessman has already said he used, which he will do to treat a “negative chemical state”.
“There are times when I have kind of a… negative chemical state in the brain – like depression, I guess (…). And ketamine is useful for getting someone out of a negative mood,” Musk said in a 2024 interview, in which he added that he has a prescription for the drug from “a real, real doctor,” using “a small amount once every two weeks or so.” At this week’s protest, the balloon shows a kind of tattoo on the arm with a heart, which reads ‘ketamine’.
It should be noted that ketamine is not approved for the treatment of depression, with studies beginning a few years ago in this regard. The use of this drug has already resulted in several deaths, including that of Mathew Perry.
