NIn recent months, robots have been gaining more and more space in different areas. They have been seen running marathons, working in fast food chains, working in security, carrying out household chores, performing acrobatics and even giving spiritual advice. But a still unusual scene recently caught attention: a robot chasing wild boars.
A viral video circulating on social media shows a G1 humanoid robot, from Chinese company Unitree Robotics, chasing wild boars at night in a parking lot.
According to the website Futurism, the images were recorded in Warsaw, Poland, and are part of an attempt to deal with the increase in these animals in the city. Given the robot’s pace, it is unlikely that it will be able to capture the wild boars, but, it seems, it will at least scare them away.
The robot, named after Edward Warchocki, even has its own page on the social network X. As expected, the video generated a flood of good-humored comments.
“It’s taking my job away,” wrote one user. Others also joked about the fact that whenever it manages to fend off the boars, the robot raises its fist, as if celebrating a victory.
