Trump promises to release “very interesting” documents

“We found many very interesting documentsI must say, and the first disclosures will begin very, very soonso you can see if this phenomenon is correct,” Trump told supporters during an event promoted by the conservative group Turning Point USA.

The review of the files was ordered by Trump in Februarywhen he signed an order for federal agencies to begin the process of identifying and releasing government documents about UFOs, unidentified aerial phenomena and possible evidence of extraterrestrial life. At the time, the president cited the great public interest in the topic as justification for the measure.

The decision also comes after statements by the former president Barack Obama on the subject. Trump accused Obama’s share inappropriately confidential information when stating, in a podcast, that aliens would be “real.” Obama later said not have had access to concrete evidence of contact with extraterrestrials during his tenure.

Measures on UFOs and developments

According to a magazine report Newsweek at least eight cases have been investigated in the country since 2024. The most recent episode occurred in Februarywhen retired Air Force Major General William Neil McCasland it disappeared.

McCasland was involved in UFO research and was last seen in February 27th when leaving home in Albuquerque, in the State of New Mexico (USA), leaving his cell phone and glasses behind.
