With the box office success of Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey”, Elon Musk stated, in his profile on X -the platform he became owner of in 2022-, that he intends to create a “historically accurate” version of the story, using artificial intelligence.

In March, during the announcement of the cast of Nolan’s film, Musk had criticized the actors cast. Among them were Elliot Page – a trans actor who plays Sinon – and Lupita Nyong’o – a black actress who plays Helen of Troy.

At the time, after political commentator Matt Walsh said that “no one on the planet thinks Lupita Nyong’o is the most beautiful woman in the world”, and that Nolan had chosen her to avoid being called a racist, which would make him a “coward”, Musk took to social media to agree. “He (Nolan) wants the awards”, he wrote.

Now, he says that later this year Grok Imagine, the artificial intelligence platform he owns, will produce a feature film based on Homer’s work that will be “historically accurate and faithful.”

Since Elon Musk acquired the social network X, there has been a 50% increase in hate speech, including posts considered racist, homophobic and transphobic.

Many of these posts are not removed by the system. Musk and his Grok chatbot have also shared discriminatory speeches on the platform.
