Dell Ushers in the Agentic Era of IT Operations

Emphasis

IT environments are exploding in size, complexity and importance. Multi‑hypervisor estates, distributed workloads spanning core, cloud and edge, and an accelerating wave of AI initiatives are pushing traditional tools and operating models to their breaking point. Customers are telling us they need something different:

    • Less time spent manually tuning systems, more time driving the business forward.
    • Help preventing problems, not just reacting to them.
    • A platform that sees repeated work and can automate it.

Most of all, they want to describe the outcomes and SLAs they care about — not script every single step. It’s time for a new kind of operations platform.

Today, we’re announcing the next evolution of Dell Automation Platform and the introduction of Dell Automation Studio, alongside continued momentum with Dell Private Cloud and Dell Distributed Private Cloud (formerly Dell NativeEdge). Together, these innovations are designed to turn complex, distributed, AI‑driven IT environments into an intelligent, automated, continuously optimizing operating model.

A smarter, simpler way to run day‑to‑day operations

Dell is making day-to-day IT operations a lot easier with the latest innovations to Dell Automation Platform. Instead of juggling separate tools for deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting and remediation, you get one platform that brings it all together. It connects automation, observability and AI into a continuous loop: deploy, observe, understand and act.

By integrating Dell AIOps, Automation Platform turns telemetry into action. Platform users gain deeper visibility across compute, storage and networking so they can see what’s happening and can trigger changes directly through the orchestration engine.

A new agentic AI layer changes how work gets done. It connects signals from across your environment, spots patterns, flags issues before they become incidents, and helps you resolve or even prevent problems. Behind the scenes, AI agents continuously analyze telemetry, understand natural-language requests, and automatically design, schedule and run maintenance and optimization tasks. You say what you want and define the rules; the platform figures out how to get it done, always with human oversight and strict guardrails so nothing touches production without proper testing.

All of this shows up in a new, intelligent workspace with a generative UI. Instead of digging through static dashboards, you describe what you’re trying to do or what’s going wrong in plain language and the workspace builds a tailored view — surfacing the exact metrics, context and controls you need in that moment. This experience integrates with tools you are already familiar with as well as Dell Support and Services, so intelligence flows with the conversation. The result is faster operations, fewer surprises and a more resilient, efficient and predictable environment, powered by Dell’s advanced automation, rich telemetry and decades of support expertise.

Expanded private cloud portfolio for increased flexibility

These advances in Dell Automation Platform are the backbone behind a broader evolution of our private cloud portfolio. Dell Private Cloud continues to gain momentum, and we’re expanding ecosystem support to meet customers where they are.

Dell Private Cloud currently provides support for VMware, Red Hat and Nutanix environments. Today, Dell Private Cloud is expanding to support:

    • VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.1
    • Nutanix with PowerStore integration as external storage
    • Microsoft Azure Local

That breadth allows you to standardize on a consistent operations model even as you run across multiple hypervisors and platforms. Dell Private Cloud delivers 64% cost savings compared to HCI¹ and helps you complete day‑2 tasks in 66% less time than traditional three‑tier architectures.² You choose the right technology for each workload; Dell Automation Platform provides the unified way to deploy, manage and observe it all.

With the prevalence of AI inferencing at the edge and data being increasingly created and processed outside the datacenter, your operating model must evolve beyond the core. Dell Distributed Private Cloud — formerly Dell NativeEdge — extends intelligent automation and governance to edge and distributed environments. It delivers zero-touch deployment for fast, consistent site onboarding, zero-trust security from factory to facility and automated workload orchestration across thousands of locations. It now also supports 2-node clusters with witness, enabling high-availability deployments with a small footprint for locations such as ROBO and SMB environments.

Customized automation for platform teams

Extending the capabilities of the Dell Automation Platform, Dell Automation Studio is a CI/CD‑native infrastructure orchestration toolkit for DevOps and Platform Engineering teams that need deep customization, enabling them to define and deploy infrastructure outcomes across compute, storage, networking and runtimes. Through Automation Studio’s Blueprint AI Assistant, organizations can construct custom automation workflows in a seamless integrated development environment. This accelerates the extension of our platform’s validated outcomes for your own requirements and integrations. Additionally, mature organizations can create bespoke environments aligned to their architecture, governance and operations.

The Blueprint AI Assistant’s agentic development approach simplifies complex environment modeling and streamlines plug‑in creation, so you can bring in familiar tools and integrate with infrastructure-as-code to keep everything versioned, repeatable and auditable. For organizations building internal platforms, Automation Studio becomes the engine behind self‑service, allowing teams to build environments in natural language or through existing pipelines while platform owners maintain control through policy, compliance, and standardized patterns.

Built for what’s next in ITOps

IT environments aren’t going to get simpler, AI isn’t slowing down and distributed footprints are only becoming more critical. The answer isn’t asking your teams to work harder; it’s giving them an operating model that is more intelligent, more proactive and more adaptive.

With the latest enhancements to Dell Automation Platform, the launch of Dell Automation Studio, and the ongoing evolution of Dell Private Cloud and Dell Distributed Private Cloud, Dell is delivering a new era of intelligent automation. It is built for what’s next in ITOps: proactive insights, agentic automation and an operating model designed to keep you moving forward.

If you’re ready to rethink how your environments are operated — from core to cloud to edge — Dell is ready to help you define the outcomes you care about and let intelligent automation do the rest.
