Galax has just officially announced that it will leave the graphics card market. The operation is now fully controlled by Palit Microsystems, which will not only take over the business but will also be responsible for the RMA.
The information, confirmed after initial reports from Wccftech, marks a relevant change among NVIDIA partners and reinforces the consolidation movement in the sector.
Palit centralizes production and global strategy
With the departure of Galax, Palit fully assumes operations related to graphics cards. This includes manufacturing, distribution and positioning of products in the global market.
The change simplifies the group’s structure and eliminates the parallel operations of brands with similar portfolios. In practice, Palit starts to focus on the development of customized plates, global commercial strategies, in addition to logistics and distribution.
The company was already among the largest GPU manufacturers in the world and increases its relevance with this total integration.
End of a traditional brand among enthusiasts
Galax’s departure represents the closure of one of the most recognized brands in the enthusiast segment. The company stood out mainly for its Hall of Fame (HOF) line, aimed at extreme overclocking.
HOF models frequently appeared in performance records, being used by professional overclockers and enthusiasts.
The Galax brand was created in 1994 in Hong Kong, as a hardware manufacturing company. The company operates primarily in Asia, South America and North America. In Europe it uses the KFA2 Marx.
With the change, these lines no longer exist under the Galax brand, and there is still no indication of direct continuity within Palit’s portfolio.
The decision comes at a time of adjustments in the graphics card market. After periods of high demand, the sector faces normalization in post-boom cryptocurrency sales and struggles with high production costs.
Furthermore, there is strong competition between manufacturers and in this context, the consolidation of operations appears as a strategy to gain scale and reduce costs.
Partner chip manufacturers such as NVIDIA and AMD operate under pressured margins, which favors leaner structures.

What changes for the consumer?
In the short term, products already launched remain available on the market, with support and guarantees maintained in accordance with current policies.
In the medium term, the market will now have a concentrated portfolio under the Palit brand, a reduction in the diversity of exclusive designs and a possible repositioning of premium lines
Consumers who followed Galax, especially for special editions, should notice the absence of the brand in the next generations of GPUs.
Ronaldo Buassali, one of the main names responsible for popularizing the Galax brand in Brazil, also commented on the matter on social media. In a video published by TecLab, he lamented the end of Galax.
“It’s unbelievable! I would like to thank everyone who has trusted the brand over the years”, highlighted Ronaldo.
