The Meta announced this Tuesday (7) Muse Image, its new artificial intelligence model aimed at creating images. The tool is now available for free in the Meta AI application and, according to The Next Web website, it will also be integrated into Instagram and WhatsApp.
Developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs, the company’s artificial intelligence division led by Alexandr Wang, Muse Image expands Meta’s strategy of investing in generative tools. In April, the laboratory had already presented the Muse Spark language model.
According to the company, the new AI works as a creative assistant capable of transforming ideas into high-quality images.
“Muse Image acts as a creative partner that understands your world, making it easy to transform ideas into high-quality images that can be downloaded and shared anywhere, including in Feed, Stories or conversations,” said Meta.
One of the points that draws the most attention is that the tool can use photos published by the user on Facebook and Instagram as a reference to generate new images. In addition, you can also consider images in which friends have been tagged in publications.
According to the website TechCrunch, Muse Image will also allow you to edit or manipulate photos of other Instagram users, as long as these profiles are public.
Anyone who does not want their images to be used by other people through the tool can increase the privacy of their account by making their Instagram profile private.
How to make your Instagram profile private
Open the Instagram app;
Tap your profile photo in the bottom right corner;
Access the menu represented by the three dashes, in the upper right corner;
Go to Account Privacy;
Activate the Private account option.
With this configuration, only approved followers will be able to view posts. According to Instagram, content such as photos, videos from Feed and Reels can also no longer be reused by people who do not have access to the profile.
