The OpenAI confirmed the acquisition of a new startup. This is Hiro Finance, a company dedicated to developing artificial intelligence tools aimed at financial planning.

The news was initially released by Hiro’s founder, Ethan Bloch, on the social network LinkedIn and later officially confirmed by OpenAI to the TechCrunch website. However, no details about the deal were revealed, and the financial terms of the acquisition of the company responsible for ChatGPT remain unknown.

The information confirmed so far appears in Bloch’s publication, in which the co-founder states that Hiro has stopped accepting new registrations and that the platform will be discontinued from April 20th. Additionally, all data will be deleted from Hiro’s servers on May 13th.

“To everyone who used Hiro: thank you. Thank you for believing in us in the beginning,” Bloch wrote. “Thank you for trusting us with your time, feedback, and finances. Developing for you has been a privilege. I’m sorry Hiro’s journey ends here, but I hope to earn the opportunity to serve you again through what we’re developing next at OpenAI.”

Hiro’s founder also dedicated a few words to the startup’s team, thanking them for the “dedication and urgency” with which they worked and highlighting that this bond will now continue within OpenAI. “I’m excited to continue our mission together on an even larger scale at OpenAI,” said Bloch.

It is not yet known how OpenAI intends to integrate Hiro’s personal finance tools into its services, but it is very likely that new developments in this area will be incorporated into ChatGPT in the coming months.
